RE has been working hard a scrambler-style motorbike for quite a long time now and whilst we have seen the spy images of the upcoming offering only, the bike makes finally has released an official trailer for the new model. Advertised to be called the Royal Enfield Trials 500 and 350, the new motorcycles would be showcased at a very special event on 26th March 2019 that is when we hope that the company to unveil complete details on the motorbikes. The teaser offers a glimpse of the motorcycle displaying the raised exhaust, chrome cycle parts, and the silver paintwork.
Previous spy images have pointed at the Enfield Trails 500 and 350 having dual-purpose tyres, a luggage rack, and raised mudguard. The new special edition motorbike is based completely on the Classic platform along with the chassis finished in contrast shades. Like all special edition motorbike, which comes from the manufacturer, the motorcycle is not hoped to have mechanical modifications or changes and is most likely to use the same twin shock absorbers right at the rear and telescopic forks up front. The suspension would not receive any change in travel when braking performance would come from the disc brakes at either end. The Trials 500 and 350 would even feature dual-channel ABS as standard. On the scrambler version, the ground clearance would even remain unchanged.
The Classic 500 uses a fuel-injected, air-cooled motor, which churns out 27 bhp, as well as 41 Nm of peak torque, 499 CC single cylinder. The standard Enfield Classic 350, on the other flip, uses a 346 CC single-cylinder and air-cooled engine, which develops 28 Nm of peak torque and 19 bhp. Both engines are come up with a 5-speed gearbox.
The brand-new Royal Enfield Trials 500 and 350 scrambler motorbikes would be priced at a little high over the standard versions. Since it has been the case with almost all the company’s limited/special motorbikes in the past, the Trials motorcycles would be based on a fascinating story from Royal Enfield’s history.
